Under the thematic lines "Sustainability, Planning and Maintenance", the 32nd edition of the National Congress of Civil Engineering is being held from 14 to 16 November in Mexico City. The congress brings together more than 40 national and international experts related to the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructures, who will discuss the new challenges that Mexican engineering must face in order to develop innovative and sustainable infrastructures, in a context of globalisation and climate change that imposes the need to design effective policies of transition towards sustainable development.

During the three-day Congress, issues such as drought and flood management, drinking water supply, socio-environmental risk management, financing, infrastructure and sustainable cities, technological innovation and strategies for the management and conservation of infrastructures, among other relevant topics, will be presented and discussed.

The Congress will be attended by the Undersecretary for Infrastructure of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport, Jesús Felipe Verdugo López, and the Director General of the Bank of Public Works and Services (BANOBRAS), Jorge Mendoza Sánchez.
