The New Road Network of Valle del Cauca, Cali and Palmira accesses, was the first project of the Bicentennial Concessions and the first wave of 5G to be awarded.
The project, structured for the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) by Antea Group Colombia and Bonus Banca de Inversión, was awarded in May 2021 and in September 2022 reached the milestone of financial closure that secured the resources for the construction phase. It is a 310 km road concession and the sponsors are Patria and Grupo Mercantil Colpatria.
Antea Group Colombia carried out technical, environmental, social and property due diligence on the existing road network, demand studies with 8 existing tolls, feasibility studies to rehabilitate and upgrade the road network and the construction and expansion of several sections and intersections. Antea Group Colombia also supported the prior consultations and accompanied the approval and contracting process of the PPP. This generation of concessions focuses on sustainability strategies, with special emphasis on the environment, climate change and communities.
Among other works, the project includes road solutions in the accesses to Cali, the extension of Bicentenario Avenue from Cali to Jamundí, the Sameco road solution and the construction of two vehicular bridges over the Cauca River, one between Jamundí and Villa Rica and the other between Cali and Yumbo.
