The plan for the reconstruction of Route 6 is the largest ever tendered by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works in the PPP modality, with an initial investment amount of about USD 200 million.

The President of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Lacalle Pou, inaugurated the bypass of Route 6 at the intersection with Route 14, in the department of Durazno.
Antea Group Uruguay has contributed its experience in land road infrastructures during the drafting of the project and technical assistance to the works management of Circuit 3, which covers some 300 kilometers of road, the rehabilitation of ten bridges and the construction of another ten new bridges. The project also includes a new 6.8-kilometre-long single-track route specially designed to prevent flooding of the area and the consequent isolation of the city when rains increase the flow of the river. In addition, this new route involved the construction of three new structures over the bridges of the Yí river, the Illescas stream and over the railway.
The Circuit 3 Concession is the largest contract tendered by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works under the PPP modality, with an initial investment amount (OPEX) of about 200 million USD, and has been executed by the Consortium formed by Copasa (80%) and Espina Obras Hidráulicas (20%).
