The works include a viaduct of more than 1 km over the Ermita-Iztapalapa roadway, between Acahualtepec and the Santa Martha modal transfer center.
México City (Mexico).
Antea Group Mexico will provide supervision and quality assurance services for the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport of the Government of Mexico in the construction of the viaduct connecting the Acahualtepec station to the Santa Martha station, more than one kilometer long, as well as in the expansion and conditioning of the Santa Martha modal transfer center (CETRAM), in consortium with ORVA Ingeniería.
The construction of this elevated connection will serve as a link between the elevated trolleybus line over the Ermita - Iztapalapa roadway, currently in operation, and the new Chalco - Santa Martha trolleybus line, promoted by the Government of the State of Mexico and currently under construction, with the supervision of the executive project and the construction of the works also in charge of Antea Group Mexico since 2021.
This sustainable electromobility project will benefit more than seventy-five thousand users daily, allowing connectivity through a safe mass transportation for users, connecting the CETRAM Santa Martha with Metro Line A (La Paz-Pantitlán) and Cablebus Line 2 (Iztapalapa-Santa Martha), reducing the use of private vehicles, travel times and the emission of polluting gases.
With this award Antea Group Spain & Latin America reinforces its experience in design and supervision of mass transit infrastructure, which includes relevant interventions in the transportation systems of metropolitan areas of the magnitude of Mexico City, Bogota or Panama City.
