The intercity train is scheduled to begin operating before the end of 2023 on an initial 20 km section in the Toluca metropolitan area, with stations at Zinacantepec, Pino Suárez-Toluca Centro, Tecnológico Metepec and Lerma.

The Mexico-Toluca Interurban Train is a Federal Government project that will connect the Toluca Metropolitan Area with the west of Mexico City. It has an approximate length of 58 km of electrified double track, with 7 stations (2 terminals and 5 intermediate stations) running over viaducts in more than 85% of its route.

With the implementation of this new means of transportation, travel times for users will be reduced, greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced and road accidents on the Mexico-Toluca highway will be reduced.

Antea Group Mexico participates in the supervision of the construction of the infrastructure of section III, at the arrival to Mexico City. This section is still in its construction stage and pre-operational tests are expected to be carried out next year.
