The project aims to improve mobility and accessibility in the port environment, while renewing the image of the dock and making it more operational for maritime professionals and attractive for residents and visitors.

Antea Group Spain executed the works management of the project to improve mobility and accessibility in the surroundings of the port of Porto do Son. The works were promoted by the Consellería del Mar de la Xunta de Galicia, through Portos de Galicia, based on the project designed by Creus e Carrasco architects and RVR architects.

The project sought the reorganization, humanization, modernization, and provision of spaces of the coastal edge of the port of Porto do Son through the management of port spaces in response to current and future needs, the enhancement of the natural and built environment and the expansion of the existing platform using local materials and architectural techniques, while generating new public spaces for the use of residents and visitors.

The executed works have not only received the approval of its users, but also that of the jury of the Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial (BEAU), which selected the project as the winner among the 20 finalists of this edition, to which 600 projects competed.
