Antea Group is driving the transformation of one of Bogotá’s most iconic spaces, putting the expertise and innovative capacity demonstrated in the successful Bronx Creative District project at the city’s disposal.
Bogota (Colombia).
Following the demolition of the Monument to the Heroes due to construction work on the First Line of the Bogotá Metro, Antea Group Colombia, in partnership with TRIACOL, is making progress on the feasibility study for the redevelopment and use of the public space formerly occupied by the monument at Station 16, addressing the urban challenges associated with the transformation of this strategic area of the city.
The infrastructure of the Bogotá Metro’s First Line faces the challenge of reconciling new mobility dynamics with the historical significance and symbolic value that this site holds for Bogotá.
The project aims to create a space on a metropolitan scale, capable of meeting Bogotá’s new connectivity needs whilst contributing to the reinterpretation of a site closely linked to the city’s urban memory. To achieve this objective, the work to be carried out during the structuring phase will encompass key components such as: the creation of a public space of a cultural and monumental nature; the urban integration of space; pedestrian mobility and universal accessibility; and spatial safety.
Mobility, public space, culture and memory come together in a single project to contribute to the transformation of Bogotá.
