Antea Group is developing the document that includes all the conservation and modernization actions on the Castilla y León Autonomous Network.
Castilla y León (Spain).
The Regional Minister of Mobility and Digital Transformation of Castilla y León, Ms. María González Corral, has appeared in Parliament to detail her program for the XI Legislature, with the primary objective of promoting the modernization, innovation and improvement of land and digital connections, as a guarantee of development and competitiveness of citizens and companies of Castilla y León.
As part of its program, the Regional Ministry has contracted Antea Group to draw up a new Autonomous Road Sector Plan 2023-2034 which will include all the needs that the regional network requires and which, complementing those initiatives to be undertaken by the Ministry, will contemplate a total of five lines: conservation and operation; modernization; transfers, digitalization and innovation and concession sections of the A-601.
Maintenance and conservation operations will be a priority, as they are the basic service to promote mobility, contemplating ordinary work to reinforce and renew the road surface, ensuring adequate road and safety conditions. The Plan starts with a fully modernized Basic Network (2.593 km); in the case of the Preferential Complementary Network (4.493 km), modernization reaches 80% and with the implementation of the Plan it will reach 100%; and the Local Complementary Network (4.229 km), which requires special consideration due to its characteristics.
With the approval of the 2023-2034 Road Plan, the complete modernization of the more than 11.500 km of the autonomous region's network will be launched and digitalization projects linked to road safety will be developed.
