"This has been possible thanks to the combination of our experience in international markets and our knowledge of the local market. We also have a highly qualified team in the areas of engineering, consultancy and project management, which allows us to attend to the entire life cycle of the project, from planning, feasibility and design to the construction and operation phases", emphasizes Fernando Illanes, the company's general manager.
The main area of activity of Antea Group Spain & Latin America is Civil Engineering, covering transport infrastructures (roads, railways or Public-Private Partnership Projects, among others), infrastructure management (mobility, traffic or road safety), water and environment (supply, sanitation and treatment plants), coastal and river infrastructures, urban planning and architecture, industry and energy, among other activities; working for public bodies, public and private investment banks or investment funds, construction companies and concessionaires.
The company began its internationalization process in 2010 and is already established in Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay, from where it also offers services to neighboring countries. Since then, it has contracted in 14 countries in Europe, America and Africa, with a cumulative international contracting volume outside Spain that has consistently exceeded 75% of its total turnover since 2012.
The Group's companies have consolidated in these years a turnover of over 8 million euros per year and currently have a contract portfolio of over 19 million euros, mainly in Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay, in addition to projects underway in Portugal and Poland. They generate more than 120 direct jobs and a further 90 jobs in consortiums and joint ventures in which Antea Group companies Antea Group Spain & Latin America have a stake.
The Company remains the same, without altering its legal personality, and therefore maintains the same registered offices and the rest of the legal and administrative data, maintaining all its professional assets, the accumulated technical background and its mission, vision and values.
